2012 Rules.
Prelude:
"First off, just so you know, its the 5th Season of the CLWL. Things are gonna change to make the the game more fun but also more challenging. Have a little fun, and lets make this the best year yet. Here are your 2012 Rules."
Connor Gray & George Smith
Hitting
1. 4 balls, 3 strikes, 1 HBP.
2. You cannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn bunt. There is no "Dead Ball Line" this year.
3. You as a hitter will decide fair/foul line calls, for you have the best view. Be honest.
4. "Wiffle" yellow bats only. No 'Blitzball' or metal.
5. Balls and strikes are called by pitchers. Don't argue.
Running
1. No jumping, stopping, ducking, shuffling, skipping. Run or jog or you WILL be called out.
2. You can only advance if the fielder throws the ball at you. If the ball is in foul territory after the fielder threw it, one base overthrow. Fair= all you can get.
3. Sliding is allowed at your own risk.
4. Stealing is allowed, but only if the pitcher has not begun his motion.
5. Leads are allowed.
6. Hit 'n' Runs are allowed.
Pitching
1. Any grip on the ball is allowed obviously.
2. 4 balls, 3 strikes, 1 HBP. Position your pitches wisely.
3. Pickoffs are allowed, but balks are called. A balk results in a dead ball.
4. Any pickoff is legal if your back foot is behind the mound and off of it.
5. The pitching distance is moved back about a foot.
6. The speed limit has increased. Throw a little hard. Let's have a "Year Of The Pitcher".
Fielding
1. Throw at your own risk. Any overthrow will result in the runner advancing. (most likely).
2. Throw the ball at the runner. No limit on how hard, but don't be a dick.
3."Web gem defense baby!"
Ground Rules
1. If the ball goes through a big hole in the fence on a fly= a HR. Bounce= 2B.
2. Any ball that hits the top of the fence and goes over= HR. Comes back= fair ball.
3. No "Dead Zone" this year. Pitchers, you better hustle your ass off to get those Jew Hits!
